Ramsey FountainDr. Fountain was born in San Francisco, CA then moved to Buffalo, NY when she was ten. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1979 with a double major in English and Anthropology. She worked in Boston, MA after college for six years in medical research and health education, eventually deciding that becoming a physician was the best way for her to pursue her passion for medicine. She received her M.D. from The State University of New York at Buffalo in 1989 and completed her pediatrics residency at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in 1992. In 1998 she joined Plymouth Medical Group while settling down in Duxbury, MA with her husband and son. Since 2010 she has practiced part-time in the office doing urgent care, while continuing to cover high-risk deliveries at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth, MA.

Dr. Fountain is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her clinical interests include breast feeding, newborn resuscitation and managing challenging acute illnesses in the office setting.

Outside of work, Dr. Fountain enjoys bicycling, kayaking, hiking, travel, reading and spending time with her family.
